Traditional Media was forced to level up this time around! They found a competition, the information they want us to consume is being challenged by the information from the internet. Yung sanay kumain ng McDonald's eh nakahanap ng Jolibee. hahah ibang flavor, more choices.

WATCH THE VIDEO:

{Below is the video transcript}

Number 3. WE HAVE THE POWER TO SPEAK UP… and in a way, influence others... through social media, kahit yung may pinaka-maliit na boses eh pwede nang marinig. It may have back-slashed and caused cyber wars between supporters, pero it’s evident na more people are involved sa social issues. The freedom to express is really present this time.

Maybe through the years, mas magmamature din tayo as netizens in how to use this power without causing others to UNFRIEND US.

Number 2. WE HAVE THE POWER TO SCRUTINIZE. Scrutiny of the Candidate's Track Records. We dont have to go to their rallies and listen to their filtered and rehearsed speeches. Kasi we got the power to really check the facts for ourselves.

We never forget how to laugh! This election, through social media, has been filled with meme's that somehow reflect a portion of the truth behind a candidate. Social Media was also used by supporters to use their talents to show their support for their candidates.

Number 1. WE HAVE UNITED IN OUR HOPE FOR CHANGE. At least nag unite tayo diba! Kahit sino pa ang kandidato natin, the motive behind our decisions is the same. Everyone is desperate for change.

Gusto natin ng pagbabago! Change beyond our limitations.

Walang imposible!

There goes the top 3 ways social media has changed this election! Gone are the days of TV ads controlling the turnout of votes. This time around, we’re given more options. More choices to receive information about the candidates. Mas transparent. Mas accessible sa mga tao.
Hopefully, though, this power that we have will be used in a more mature way in the next election!
